Leh, the capital of the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Ladakh—once called “Little Tibet”—is a city rich in history and culture. The skyline is dominated by the majestic Leh Palace, the former residence of the royal family, and above it stands the historic Victory Fort. Both landmarks can be visited, and the palace features an intriguing museum showcasing historical artifacts and local art.

Below lies the old town, filled with narrow lanes and a lively bazaar bustling with activity. Although Ladakh opened to tourists only in the 1970s, it has now become the main tourism hub of the region, offering numerous hotels, restaurants, and facilities for travelers.

Itinerary

Upon your early morning arrival at Leh Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and transferred to your hotel in Leh. After completing the check-in formalities, spend the day relaxing and allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh.

Take this opportunity to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and stroll through the nearby gardens. Later, have dinner and overnight stay at your selected accommodation in Leh.

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Sham Valley, visiting Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam Point, Rafting Point, and Spituk Monastery.

The Hall of Fame is a must-visit attraction for every patriotic Indian. It was built by the Indian Army in honor of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.

Next, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, located about 40 km from Leh. This sacred place was built in 1571 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to this region.

Continue to Magnetic Hill, a fascinating spot where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own even when the engine is switched off, creating an unbelievable experience.

Later, visit Sangam Point at Nimu, where the Indus River and Zanskar River meet. From here, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the confluence of the two rivers, and it is also a well-known rafting point.

In the evening, return to Leh. If time permits, visit the Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and explore the local market.
