Tawang is a stunning high-altitude destination known for its blend of natural beauty and spiritual charm. Key attractions include the iconic Tawang Monastery, the largest in India, and the Giant Buddha Statue offering panoramic views of the town. The journey features breathtaking spots like Sela Pass and Sela Lake, along with the majestic Nuranang Waterfall. Visitors also explore Bum La Pass at the Indo-China border and the serene Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Tso). The Tawang War Memorial adds a historical touch, making the overall experience a mix of mountains, lakes, monasteries, and rich heritage.
Start early, around 6 AM, from Guwahati and drive via Balipara to Bhalukpong, where you will enter Arunachal Pradesh and complete the ILP check. You can stop for breakfast at Tezpur or Bhalukpong before continuing your journey towards Bomdila, enjoying scenic roads lined with pine forests, waterfalls, and monasteries. Have lunch at Bomdila, then proceed to Dirang (altitude ~4,900 ft). Upon arrival in the evening, check in to your hotel or homestay. If time permits, visit Dirang Monastery or take a relaxing walk along the Dirang River. Overnight stay in Dirang. Remember to carry warm clothes from this day onward and keep your ILP and ID proofs handy.
Spend the full day relaxing and exploring Dirang Valley. Visit Mandala Top (10,000 ft) for stunning panoramic views, explore the peaceful Sangti Valley, and unwind at the hot water springs, known for their natural sulphur content and believed healing properties. You can also visit Dirang Monastery to experience the local culture. During the day, try local Monpa delicacies and enjoy riverbank walks along with sunset photography. Overnight stay in Dirang.
In the morning, drive towards Tawang with a major stop at Sela Pass (13,700 ft), where you can enjoy views of Sela Lake (Paradise Lake) and snow walls, depending on the season. Take a short break for tea or snacks at Jaswant Garh War Memorial. In the afternoon, descend towards Jang and visit the stunning Nuranang (Jang) Waterfall, one of the best in Arunachal Pradesh. Have lunch at Jang or on the outskirts of Tawang before continuing your journey. By evening, reach Tawang town and explore the local market or visit the Tawang Monastery viewpoint for a beautiful sunset. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Start early at 7 AM, as the visit to Bum La Pass requires a permit, which can be arranged by your hotel or driver. In the morning, visit Bum La Pass (15,200 ft), located at the Indo-China border, followed by Sangestar Tso (Madhuri Lake), famous for its appearance in the film Koyla, and then P.T. Tso Lake, a beautiful deep blue glacial lake. In the afternoon, return to Tawang for local sightseeing, including the Tawang Monastery, the largest in India, the Giant Buddha Statue viewpoint, and the War Memorial, where you can attend the evening light and sound show. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Start In the morning, drive back via Sela Pass and stop at Sela Lake for photos, especially if the weather was cloudy earlier. In the afternoon, continue towards Shergaon, a beautiful valley located at around 6,000 ft, and check in to your homestay. Spend the rest of the day exploring Shergaon, including its apple and kiwi orchards, Choskoron Waterfall, Shergaon Monastery, and the scenic pine forests with peaceful riverside trails. Overnight stay in Shergaon.
Leave early after breakfast and begin your journey back to Guwahati. Stop for lunch at Bomdila or Bhalukpong along the way, then continue driving via Balipara. You will reach Guwahati by evening or night, marking the end of your trip.

Personal expenses such as laundry, phone calls, tips & gratuities, mineral water, beverages (soft & alcoholic), adventure activities like river rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, toy train ride, porter charges, and insurance.
Any additional sightseeing or extra use of vehicles beyond what is mentioned in the itinerary.
Any expenses arising due to natural calamities such as landslides, roadblocks, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (to be borne by the guest and payable on the spot).
Any service or item not specifically mentioned under “Inclusions.”
Non-Operational Sightseeing or Activities
In the event that a paid activity becomes inoperative due to COVID-19 restrictions or any other unforeseen circumstances, a refund will be initiated. In such cases, we will also try our best to provide suitable alternative arrangements.
Please note that cash refunds are not applicable in these situations.
For complimentary activities (activities not charged to the guest), no refund will be applicable.
Cancellations Due to Force Majeure Events
In the event of trip cancellation due to natural calamities, adverse weather conditions, or other force majeure circumstances, Xtreme Moto Adventure will make every effort to obtain the highest possible refund.
However, the refund will be subject to the cancellation policies of our service providers, trade partners, and vendors involved in the booking.
Government-Imposed Travel Restrictions
In case of an official travel ban for Indian nationals to the booked destination, guests will be offered either an alternative itinerary or, where possible, the option to reschedule the trip to a later date.
Please note that seasonal surcharges may apply in such cases.
A minimum of 30% of the total package cost is required at the time of booking to secure services.
Full payment must be made 30 days before the departure date.
Booking made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
